Imbilico is a report of a journey and a photographic research I made following the earthquake that struck central Italy between 2016 and 2017. It is a journey through the rubble and despair but above all about dignity and hope, that despite the destruction left on the earth, from the fragments apparently not recoverable we can start again to rebuild a better society.

The earthquake has thus become the pretext for a more general investigation, a look at our historical time made of cultural rubble, lack of imagination, geographical and emotional erasure and to try to imagine a reconstruction of the human being even before the affected territories.
